Weston Choral Society. Eternal Light – Music for Remembrance

Another wonderful concert from Weston Choral Society featuring Howard Goodall’s Lux Aeterna, Tavener’s Funeral Ikos and Lauridsen’s ‘Sure on this Shining Night’. Music to remember those we have loved and see no more.  The concert takes place in the superb acoustic of All Saints’ Church, BS23 2NL on Saturday 23rd November at 3:00pm.

Beautiful coloured glass, cakes and icing, personalised gifts, unique handmade cushions, jewellery, eco-products, present and party ideas, ceramics, handmade Christmas decorations, cards and gift wrap. Plus our legendary tombola where every ticket wins a prize and bumper Christmas Hamper raffle.

Hear about the hints and tips that Jenny Towey has discovered over her 50 years of researching her family tree.

Our lecture on Friday 8th November will be “an author abroad”.
Michael Malaghan has travelled extensively and learned much from those travels. 
“When you are in Rome, do as the Romans do” is a slogan Michael adheres to, but find out if that always applies!  

Doors open at 1:50pm for a 2”15pm start. Admission, open to non-members, is £2, includes tea/coffee/biscuits after the talk, in the United Reformed Church Hall in the Boulevard.

We will be holding our annual St Martin’s Day coffee morning and fayre on Saturday 9th November 10:00am – 12:00pm in church. Entry 50p to include unlimited tea or coffee and biscuits. Browse our varied stalls and you might even pick up an early Christmas gift for family or friends!
