Read MoreThe Weston-super-Mare local Macular Society group covering Weston, Clevedon, Winscombe, Burnham and surrounding areas meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month 10:30am to 12:30pm at St Peter’s Church Hall, Baytree Road, Weston-super-Mare BS22 8HG.
The group is for anyone affected by central vision loss, AMD wet or dry. We have presentations on a variety of topics including useful appliances, helpful organisations and local interest, such as VisionAid and Vision North Somerset.
Weston-Super-Mare Music Appreciation Society – Come and Join Us!
2025 meetings start on 15th January, followed by 12th February & 12th March. 2:15pm for a 2:30pm start. We have presentations given by professional speakers and our own members. Come and join a friendly group of people with a shared interest in a wide range of recorded music.
We meet at Milton Methodist Church, 2 Milton Hill, Weston-Super-Mare BS22 9RA. (The hall is behind the church)
The u3a monthly lecture: Bristol and Weston Hospital Charity, will be on 10th January. Natalie Watts will explain their work and how they are doing great things. Come along to the United Reform Church, Waterloo Street, BS23 1LF at 2:15pm cost £2.00.
Tuesday coffee morning will resume on 7th January at the Friends Meeting House, High Street, W-s-M, BS23 1JF at 10:00am to 11:15am. New members welcome. Find us on Weston-super-Mare u3a website.

There will be a Baptism Exhibition in St Martin’s Church, Worle, on Saturday 11th January 10:00am – 4:00pm and Sunday 12th January 2:00pm – 4:00pm. This is a free event and refreshments will be available. On Sunday 12th January we celebrate the feast day of the Baptism of Christ and at our 10:00am service there will be a chance for people to renew their Baptism vows. Please do come and join us over the weekend, you will be very welcome.
Weston-super-Mare & District Family History Society will present a talk about the 52 vicars of Worle since 1325. The talk will be given by Ray Green/Abi Smart at Our Lady of Lourdes Church Hall, Baytree Rd, Weston on 8th January, doors open at 2:00pm. Members £1.50, guests £2.00 which includes Tea/Coffee and Biscuits.

For any help with your Family tree research we are in Weston Library on the first Saturday of every Month 2:00pm – 3:30pm.
Come for a warming drink and a friendly smile. Our community cafe starts again on 7th January at St Mark’s Church at 2:30pm until 4:00pm, where you will receive a warm welcome. A place to meet your friends or make new ones. Tea and coffee on china cups with a delicious selection of cakes. What could be a better way or starting your new year.
